Performing in unison.

Founding JVMA member, Albert Zhou, and VMA Director, Jonathan Yasuda, are operating on the same wavelength. In the summer of 2022, they set into motion the ambitious beginning of the long-awaited Junior Volunteer Musicians for the Arts (“J.V.M.A.”) program, opening the volunteer membership application process to high school students. The JVMA includes talented young instrumentalists playing integral performance roles in the organization’s mission, tantamount to their Adult Program mentors.
Albert, Jonathan, and the greater VMA community are poised to propel the Junior Program forward. They are actively recruiting high school students who have both the heart and requisite skill to make a real difference in this world -because teenagers, too, deserve to give everyone orchestra seats. Albert Zhou, Founder President of the J.V.M.A. and V.M.A. Director, Jonathan Yasuda.
